RELIGIOUS EDUCATION ANNOUNCEMENT

Children's Liturgy during the Sunday Masses will begin its first session for the new Liturgical Year on Sunday, November 23, 2014.  Our apologies for the delay.  All children are encouraged to participate.  Volunteers are always welcome.

Registration for First Communion classes will be ongoing to December 31, 2014.  The first class was held on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at 6:00 pm at the Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Center in Hogansburg, and it is still not too late to register.  There will be no class on U.S. Thanksgiving Day - Nov. 27th, 2014, so families can spend time together.  Continue your prayers for a spiritual gathering with your family and friends.

Registration for Confirmation classes are now being accepted at the Kateri Hall The classes will be held at the Kateri Hall on Sundays beginning on Dec. 7th at 11:30 am, with parents and students orientation.  On occasion, the class will be in the Church but advance notification will be provided.  Please do not bring food or drinks to class.  Thank you.

Additional information, and registration packets, are available at the Kateri Hall.  Please call 518-358-2931, or stop in during Office hours: Tuesday to Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm.

Pray to Saint Kateri Tekakwitha

Saint Gah-deh-lee   De-gah-quee-tah

Kateri Tekakwitha

Saint Kateri Tekakwitha is the first Native American to be declared a Saint.

Boy's miracle cure makes first Native American saint

She is also the patroness of the environment and ecology.

Her feastday is April 17th in Canada and July 14th in the United States

O Saint Kateri, Lily of the Mohawks, Your Love for Jesus, so strong, so steadfast, Grant that we may become one like you. Your short and painful life showed us your strength and humility Grant that we may become forever humble like you. Like the bright and shining stars at night, we pray that your light may forever shine down upon us Giving light, hope, peacefulness and serenity in our darkest moments. Fill our hearts, Saint Kateri Tekakwitha with your same Love for Jesus and grant us your strength and courage to become one like you in Heaven. Amen

Then say Our Father and Hail Mary, Once, and Glory Be three times
